  • What are your fees?
Our standard fee for therapy, assessment, and consultation services is $240 per hourly session, payable at the end of each session. We accept various forms of payment, including e-transfer, debit, and credit (Visa and MasterCard). While psychological services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), many workplace extended health benefits can cover these services. Also, student benefit plans at certain colleges and universities, including Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo, provide some coverage to work with psychologists in private practice. It's essential to check with your specific provider to determine the coverage for each session and the total amount available per benefit or calendar year. At the conclusion of each session, you'll receive a detailed receipt for reimbursement purposes, including the psychologist’s certificate number, service provided, and the amount paid. Note that we don't bill insurance companies directly, but you can submit the receipt for reimbursement. Fees for non-covered services can be claimed as medical expenses on your annual income tax return.

  • What should I expect for my first appointment?
Your initial appointment at our clinic is a 90-minute consultation focused on getting to know you and understanding your current concerns. This session allows you to collaboratively work with your clinician, sharing your history and current issues. Your clinician may ask questions or request brief symptom measures to inform a tailored treatment plan. The primary goal is to determine if our services align with your needs. If so, treatment goals will be established, and an overview of the treatment plan will be provided. Feel free to ask any questions during this appointment. Subsequent therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long. We strive to create a personalized approach to address your specific needs and concerns.
